Last night while enjoying the Grammys with good friends something worth gagging over happened. It was towards the beginning of the show when Tony Bennett and Stevie Wander won an award for a duet. Tony let Stevie talk briefly and then went into his thank you speech. It went something like this, "I want to thank so-in-so my producer, and Target for being the best sponsor I've ever worked with. Thank you to the lovely people at Target."
WHAT? Are you kidding me? GAG! He plugged Target during his Grammy acceptance speech! The commercialism has gone too far.
In other Grammy news -- I freaking love the Dixie Chicks. Amo reminded me last night that originally they wanted to be called Dixie Chicken. That just happens to the the bar in College Station that AP would not walk into his first visit to Texas because he was intimidated by swinging saloon doors and huge belt buckles. Anyway, get their album -- you'll love it!

Yes- shout-outs to your sponsor at the grammy's are EMBARRASSING. geeze, and from an old dude too. annoying.
I thought they were going to be Dixie Chick'n, as in like, Chick-ing was a verb. Not sure where I heard that. Casey Casem? Maybe I just made it up in my head... That bar sounds like fun. We need to make a trip down to Bobby Mackie's soon....
