And now for something totally irrational ...

So, I think a lot of silly thoughts from time to time. However, there is one silly one that hits me every time I walk through a door. I think that someone is going to be on the other side of the door, opening it at a faster velocity than I am, and that person will hit me in the face with the door, thus knocking out my front teeth.

Seriously, every time I walk through a door I think that, and now my natural response is to tighten my lips around my teeth and push my tongue against them from the backside. That way, my years of enduring the pain of braces will be protected.

Anyone else have irrational thoughts or silly games you play like this? Maybe I'm just nuts.

Ahhh, my favorite Rachel-ism. I love how tightening your lips makes you feel safer about the situation. Don't ever let your guard down, though. The day you stop tightening your lips and pushing your tongue against the back of your teeth is the day someone will come rushing through that door at you and break your teeth. Hah

Rachel,

I think your brothers used to wait until you were walking through the doors of their rooms and act like they were going to slam it in your face.

You can relax now.
