I would like to take this opportunity to let you all know that I am pro-adoption. Yes, I know that I am having a child myself these days. But that doesn't stop me from cheering on the heroes that I know that are in the middle of the adoption process. It is seriously an adventure to witness, and I love hearing how God matches up kids with their adopted parents in crazy ways. Like, making them even LOOK like their adopted parents or giving them the same hobbies as their new siblings.
Adoption stories are so wonderful to hear. I had one more coworker tell me today that they are adopting from the Ukraine. Amazing. We also know several other families in the middle of the process. Adoption is more fun to cheer on than any sporting event.
I would like to make a documentary about adoption because I love it so much, or I'd like to write a children's book about it, or I'd like to take lots of pictures of adopted kids. All of those things have been done of course. All people who are able should adopt a child.
I'm just making the statement -- I'm pro-adoption. It's AWESOME!!! If you are thinking about it, or would like to host a Ukrainian orphan for the summer -- let me know, my boss is organizing a visit of 11 orphans from the Ukraine starting in May.
(The picture above is with Victoria and Anastasia -- Anastasia is from the Ukraine, and as you can see -- she's ADORABLE. She's already adopted.)

Wow...that sounds amazing. I am there with ya, Rachel...totally pro-adoption. Kevin and I, Lord willing, plan to adopt someday. As followers of Christ, we are all called to look after orphans!! So cool. Oh...and the "wonder chair" is a BEST chair from Treehouse Kids (best price in Cincy). You're welcome to come over to try it out! We liked it so much that we actually bought a second one for our living room! Very nice chair!
I didn't know there was such a thing as "pro-adoption," but count me in! :) Adoption is amazing for both the child and the family who decided to adopt, as friends who have adopted have told me. I'm stoked that adoption is becoming so "popular" - tons of kids are getting Forever Families!
that was Kate, by the way. I thought Anonymous would let me put in my name.
I am so glad that you clarified that Anastasia is already adopted!!! :) You go girl - get those kids hosted!!!! I haven't looked in your blog forever - funny when I look - there's my baby! I better check some older posts to see if there are any more pics of her! So why am I posting this when I'm gonna see you in just a few short hours?? - nightie night!
Kim and I are in the beginning stages of the process and looking forward to being parents and beginning our family.
