When I was in high school one of my very favorite teachers had her first grandchild. As all grandmothers do, she got all excited to pick her very own grandmother name. She carefully considered many names, and then excitedly announced one day that her grandchildren would call her "Honey". Totally appropriate for this Southern Baptist preacher's wife who was one of the sweetest people I know. Too bad that when Alex, her granddaughter could finally talk she called Mrs. Caldwell one day and said, "I love you Homey". From then on "Honey" was replaced with "Homey".
Here are Cana's grandmothers.
Nana (who keeps forgetting that she has picked Nana and calls herself Grandma just as often):
Grammie (who picked this name because she said she'd always feel like she was winning an award):
Cana and I continue to have fun at home this week, she's really good at cuddling.
