Hey friends,
This is Andrew...blogging from the hospital room. We thought it'd be fun to record some moments here (as these blogs serve as journals for us). We checked in at 6 am this morning (I didn't even speed on the way down here...sadness). Check-in was smooth and uneventful. R got comfy and settled in, and they hooked her up to the monitor, only to discover she was already having some contractions. Yea! We've just been hanging out in the room, enjoying the view and visiting with our nurses (and Dr. Jeff, who entertained us for a while already...we hope the Dr. Jeff character, one of our bestest friends and funnier human beings we know will be a reoccurring character in this set of posts.)
Dr. Bruce has already been in and checked on R. Her water is broken, and we just spent some time checking out the walking trails (read: hallways) around labor and delivery. They leave something to be desired. Now we're back watching the Today show and talking about when we first met, and when we started picturing having kids with each other. I've also already cried a few times this morning...yea, I'm not afraid to admit that.
We'll keep you posted throughout the day...until we can't cause we're HAVING A BABY.
Thanks for all your love and support,
ap & R

HOLY MOLY. I woke up this morning thinking about you all. PO and I are at a coffee shop working on boring budget stuff and you guys are HAVING A BABY. Craziness. That same Dr. Jeff character showed up at our last visit to Christ when PO was having his hernias (4) sewed up. He was definitely very funny, and it was a joy having him there to keep me calm. (Although he was NOT there when I almost fainted - twice. bummer.) GIVE RACHEL A HUG FOR ME. THANX FOR THE UPDATES. WE LOVE YOU GUYS.
funny. that was amo writing, but I guess po is logged into his blogger account. funny, b/c he never blogs, or checks my blog..... :)
