Cincinnati
When AP and I decided to live in Cincinnati back in 2002 it was a "for now" decision. We always said that maybe in 3 or 4 years we'd move somewhere more glamorous. Those 3 or 4 years have come and gone and Cincinnati is decidedly our home. It is not home because we can walk to the beach to surf or because of all of the crazy fun things to do (although the city has it's share), it is our home because of the community of people that we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of. A few of those people gathered on a beautiful day a week ago to pray for our home. I have to admit that I found myself weeping as I thought about my friends and neighbors as we prayed. Weeping.

I pray for all of you guys on staff and the leadership daily. It always gives me great joy and my prayers end filled with thanksgiving for all of you.
I have always considered it a great privilege and pleasure to come into the office and free people up to rest and attend meetings and so on. On the morning I came in and heard you all were heading to the park to pray over Cincinnati, I was so humbled and overwhelmed at the beauty and passion of this. What was always a privilege became a great honor that morning and each day since.
It is an absolute joy to serve such a selfless group of people.
Thank you so much.
