Urban Farming

AP has been actively fighting against inflation, rising fuel costs, and a slumping economy. No, not by working longer hours or buying a hybrid. We became urban farmers this year. This little 4 x 25 foot garden is about to give us the first harvest.

One of the 8 varieties of tomatoes:

Broccoli that is ready to eat:

The whole garden:

A little yellow squash (see it?):
You'll have to stop by when we make fresh salsa later this summer ...

OMG! I am soooo there. I love fresh salsa almost as much as you do! We have been dying to plant a garden, but we are not sure where it might go in the yard. The back "yard" is too shady, and the side yard is well, very public. Who knows. Maybe it will be a rooftop garden over the garage!!

Your way is the PERFECT way "to farm". Keep it up.....we'll be asking YOU to bring us tomatos this summer. No garden (or weeds--YEAH!) here at the POPPA & GG Peters Ranch...just beautiful grass this summer.

Your garden is beautiful. Have a great vacation!

Love, Mama Deb (aka GG)
