VICTORY!!!!

I was getting nervous because I hear that Fisher Price doesn't make a swing for 10 year olds to sleep in. It is amazing that no matter what she can Houdini her way out of a swaddle.

I had been wondering if you and AP would bring the swing with you on your visit (Emme's swing isn't as cozy and easy to sleep in as Cana's). Now you won't have to. Congrats.

Invest in some swaddles with velcro, Sofia has a much harder time busting out of that one.
Hurray for Cana...sleeping in her bed!

the velcro swaddle is a no go -- she's too long and lean -- they just don't fit. thankfully most of the time shw just gets one arm out.

aunt leigh -- we may still bring the swing -- don't want to ruin the trip on account of poor planning. we'll see how the next 10 nights go.

hi rachel- I am a friend of jenn wilkey's and happened across your blog awhile ago.
another idea re: swaddling would be to make your own-- this is what we had to do for our little 6 lb. boy who was swaddled pretty much 24-7. (I, too, am a BIG fan of "happiest baby on the block") the velcro ones didnt work until he was bigger and very few of our blankets would do a good enough burrito-wrap. so my mom and I headed to the fabric store and made our own big-enough blankets to swaddle.
just an idea!-- I know I tried just about everything to get my kiddo to sleep!

i love to see another parent who loves there swaddle blanket so much. we swaddled brady till he was 7 months old!!!! I know crazy, but it worked for him. And the do make a larger size swaddle blanket so you do have that to hang on to for a little longer. probably not ten years old though. good luck.
