I just got my first issue of Seeing the Everyday this week. No ads. All of the articles happen inside people's homes with their family. It is fantastic. I can't wait for next quarter's issue.
Two articles really impacted me:
In the first, a mom describes what happens in their house when a kid colors on the couch, fills the toilet with golf balls, or creates a nuclear explosion of flour. She takes a step back and says, "don't get mad, get the camera." The result is a collection of funny pictures that capture real life, and kids who have not experienced quite as many angry words.
The other was a eight page photo collage titled Monday Night Dinner. Amazing moments captured on film over an ordinary meal.

I have the same philosophy as that mom. I have a picture of Carolina at age 2 standing next to a Crayola masterpiece she created on the wall of our upstairs hallway while I was in the shower. We even actually considered putting a frame around it!
