My workplace my be one of the most fun work environments ever. There is something about a bunch of very creative people with a lot of energy working together that just breeds fun.
I have two examples for you:
CASE ONE: This morning while on my way to filling up my water bottle, I walk by my boss' boss' boss and then his 180 pound dog. Yep, he just decided to bring Stanley, the giant slobber dog into work today. Stanley isn't very smart, but he is very friendly. He just walked around the office, minding his own business.
CASE TWO: Yesterday, AP, PO, and J were all discussing who of the three of them is the fastest runner. They couldn't decide, so J sent out an all staff e-mail. "First Annual Staff Race Thursday at 2PM."
Today at 2PM most of the staff (including Stanley) met at the front door. We had a cap gun, a referee shirt, and a checkered flag. The race was done in the parking lot, in two heats, with the fastest 6 guys running in a championship. My boss was the water girl, and I waved the checkered flag. The runners ran about 100 yards between two light poles. Some one used their camera phone for the photo finish.
AP took second overall to DVal, who is good at everything. Gil, a man who is at least 110 years old even raced on his little yellow scooter. There were some injuries -- a possible strained knee and some scuffed up hands due to a bad trip at the finish line. Too bad our new insurance doesn't start until November 1st.

Hmmm. Ch 19 vs. Xrds. Some things are just brilliant no-brainers.
I think I saw something similar to this on an episode of "The Office".
Rachel, this is a great story. I wish I could be the person at my work who could try and start making things crazy and fun...i'll give that some thought...
YES - This reminds me of the office episode where Michael made them do the Run for Rabies - except you weren't racing for a cause and it wasn't mandatory for everyone to participate. . . .
