Baby Shower (More like Thunderstorm)
These three lovely ladies threw me one heck of a baby shower on Thursday night. Actually, it felt more like a party or a girls night out with about 30 super fun wonderful ladies that I love. Nope, that's not someone's home -- that's redtree, an art gallery and coffee shop that my friend Wendy owns. It's a fantastic place for a party!
Lots and lots of my favorite women were there. These three even brought chicky Peters' future friends to the party. Yep, all of our kids will be born within about 8 weeks of each other! Chicky is right in the middle -- two boys and two girls in this group:
Opening gifts was crazy. I was glad that the party continued while I received massive amounts of generosity and love from my friends. They have great taste, and some were SUPER creative with their gifts. Great idea: all the stuff I need for the hospital including travel size toiletries, PJs, headbands, bubble gum, and an outfit for the baby. I'll have to steal that idea at some point.

Books were a great idea for the registry. I got lots of favorites, and already started reading them to Chicky.
Special thanks to Christine who has loved me in lots of amazing ways this week, the least of which was taking all of the wonderful pictures of the shower!
No special thanks to Target, who has the worst registry/return system on the planet -- hence the 5 bathtubs that I got as gifts.
We seem to be all set around here for her arrival, including the assembly of the nursery. Stay tuned to a post coming soon for pictures of that!

We love celebrating you and your new girl! And oh my goodness, my belly looks like it's going to puncture someone. Yikes.
That was the best baby shower I've ever been to, if I do say so myself. It was fun to see so many of the women who love you, Andrew, and Baby Peters! K8
What wonderful friends you have! the nursery looks great and well stocked with loving gifts. I can hardly wait to meet Chicky Baby Peters.

Yes, I agree with Kate - that party was perhaps the best shower I have been to! I love Red Tree- did you notice that your shirt matched the decor?
