No longer CONSUMED ...

I have a great reason why I haven't posted since mid-February. We are right in the middle of a series at church that is called CONSUMED. Its basic run down is that we no longer need to be consumed with things of the world (houses, cars, clothes), but instead should be consumed with God. Last week there was a challenge to find out what consumes you (after tracking for a week how you spend your time) and give it up. Mine just happened to be this cute little MacBook I'm writing on, and it's luxurious, high speed communication with the World Wide Web via wireless internet. So, I gave it up for a while. It was a great exercise in self control. Now, I've reunited with high speed internet, but in a more moderate manor. Thank you for having patience.

That was a great idea to give up surfing the net. I gave up TV (like many CrossRoaders) and it ended up not being that tough at all. It was a bonus really - we basically finished working on our basement! K8
