Cana is advanced for her age, make no mistake about that (okay, no, she's just a baby -- but lots of parents say that to me all the time about their kid, and I think it is HILARIOUS) but, she still can't speak. Here is a conversation with her:
"Hey Cana ... "
"Cana ... we're going on vacation!"
"We're going to the beach!"
"But first, you'll have to be in your car seat for two days straight."
"Oh honey, that's how your daddy and I feel too."
MORE INFORMATION: Cana was WONDERFUL in the car! She slept just about the whole time (7 hours on Friday and 8 hours on Saturday). She melted down just as we picked our keys up for the house that we are staying in. We fed her bottles in the car, and then just stopped to burp her and get gas. About 3 stops a day, each less than 10 minutes. I sat in the back seat to help her out.

Wow! How did she do with that LONG car trip?? How many times did you have to stop? I cannot even FATHOM taking Isaac in the car for that long! I am amazed.

Wow! You guys are troopers...Ross and I were just talking about driving to the beach for July 4th weekend and thought it would be too hard with a baby. We'll be excited to read all about your trip!
